Private tours often include stops at island villages where provisions arrive by daily supply boat and where nineteenth-century general stores still sell paraffin and fishing tackle alongside organic provisions for summer residents. Winter charters, though less common, reveal a different landscape: sea ice forms labyrinths between islands, and the low Baltic light turns granite shores silver.
